Therapy for Children & Teenagers
Children and young people can sometimes experince worries, emotions or difficult behaviour which can get in the way of everyday life, or even take over. Our experinced Clinical Psychologists can assess these difficulties and work to overcome these issues. Behaviour such as tantrums in toddlers and an element of defiant behaviour or dificulties with friends in teenagers is a normal part of childhood. However, getting help early with problems which are particularly distressing for them, interfer with school life or attainment or with wider family functioning can result in better, faster outcomes. We work with children aged 5 and above.
The types of issues we can help with include;
- Exam and School Stress
- School Refusal
- Parental Separation or Divorce
- Low Mood
- Low Self-Esteem
- Sleep Problems
- Behavioural Issues
- Bereavement (person, pet etc)
- Difficulties Managing Anger
